Jakarta, 27 September 2025– The Bachelor of Information Systems and Diploma of Informatics Management study programs, under the Faculty of Computer Science and Design (FIKD) at Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (Unsurya), were honored to receive a significant academic visit from a delegation of lecturers from Gunadarma University (UG), who are also doctoral students in UG’s Informatics Technology program. This visit served to strengthen institutional bonds and marked a positive synergy between the two higher education institutions.
The delegation was warmly received by the Head of the Unsurya Undergraduate Information Systems Study Program, Mr. Muryan Awaludin, S.Kom., M.Kom., and the Head of the Diploma of Informatics Management Study Program, Ms. Yulisa Gardenia, S.Kom., M.MSi. The reception underscored a shared commitment to fostering a mutually beneficial relationship in the three pillars of higher education, particularly in advancing knowledge and information technology.
A key highlight of the meeting was the discussion surrounding the recently published book, “Data Mining for Healthcare: Enhancing Patient Diagnosis and Care.” This publication, a collaborative work between Mr. Muryan Awaludin—who is concurrently a doctoral candidate at UG—and his fellow lecturers from UG, stands as a tangible outcome of their productive research partnership. The talks further focused on strategizing future collaborative research initiatives involving academics from both universities.
Extending beyond faculty-level collaboration, the meeting also explored opportunities for active student participation. Plans were formulated for a program that would enable students from Unsurya’s Faculty of Computer Science and Design to engage in joint research projects with students from UG’s Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. This initiative is designed to be a dynamic platform for aspiring IT scientists and practitioners to exchange ideas, hone their skills, and produce innovative work.
