On Thursday, 27 February 2025, an Internship Track Socialization activity was held at the Hercules Hall, Campus A, Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma. This event was organized by the Career Development Center (CDC) of Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma with the aim of providing participants with an understanding of the Internship Track program, including the benefits, registration mechanisms, and opportunities available for participants to improve their professional experience and skills.
This activity began with remarks from Vice Rector III: Marsma TNI Pur Dr. Agus Purwo W., S.E, M.M, M.A, CIPA who emphasized the importance of the Internship Track program in providing students with relevant work experience before they enter the professional world. In his remarks, he said that this program is part of the university’s efforts to improve students’ readiness in facing the challenges of the world of work. He also invited all participants to make the most of this opportunity to broaden their horizons and strengthen the skills needed in the industrial world. The next session was filled by the Director of the Career Development Center (CDC): Dr.Ir Yohanes Dewanto, MT who acted as the main resource person in this socialization. In his presentation, he explained in detail about the Internship Track program with several main points as follows:
- Program Objectives and Benefits: Internship Track aims to provide real work experience for students, help them develop professional skills, and build networks with related industries.
- Terms and Conditions: Participants must meet certain requirements, including an appropriate academic background, commitment to completing the program, and readiness to work in a professional environment.
- Registration and Selection Flow: Registration is done through a system provided by CDC, which includes administrative selection stages, interviews, and placement in companies or agencies that collaborate with this program.
- Participant Rights and Obligations: During the program, participants are required to carry out the tasks and responsibilities given by the company where they do their internship, and report their progress periodically to the university and CDC.
After the presentation of the material, the session continued with a discussion and Q&A. The participants enthusiastically asked various questions related to this program, such as the types of industries that collaborate, the selection mechanism, and opportunities to get a job after completing the program. CDC Director Dr. Ir Yohanes Dewanto, MT provided detailed answers and gave several examples of alumni who have successfully gotten jobs through this program. The event ended with a conclusion by Vice Chancellor III Marsma TNI Pur Dr. Agus Purwo W., S.E, M.M, M.A, CIPA who reiterated that the Internship Track is a valuable opportunity for students to hone their skills and prepare themselves to enter the world of work. He also expressed the hope that all participants can participate in this program with full commitment and dedication.
The Internship Track Socialization activity went smoothly and received a positive response from the participants. They admitted that they had a clearer understanding of this program and were interested in participating in the Internship Track as part of their future career preparation.
