Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (Unsurya), especially the Faculty of Computer Science and Design led by Dr. Yohannes Dewanto has once again proven its commitment to producing competent graduates who are ready to compete in the world of work. Two Information Systems students, namely Rismawati Anjani (NIM: 221051015) and Adellia Nugraheni Puspa Sari (NIM: 221051005), had the opportunity to carry out an internship program at a well-known airline company, Travira Air. Both were placed in the IT Support and Multimedia division, where they gained invaluable practical experience during their internship.
Internship Experience at Travira Air
Travira Air, as an airline company engaged in charter flights and cargo services, has a complex and continuously evolving information technology system. This is a challenge as well as an opportunity for Rismawati and Adellia to apply the knowledge they have learned in college. During their internship, they were directly involved in various projects and assignments related to IT Support and Multimedia.
Rismawati Anjani, who is placed in the IT Support division, is responsible for assisting the company’s IT team to ensure the smooth operation of the information technology system. Her duties include network maintenance, hardware and software troubleshooting, and providing technical support to other employees. “I learned a lot about how to manage IT systems in a dynamic corporate environment. This experience is very different from what I learned in class, because here I am directly faced with real problems and have to find solutions quickly,” said Rismawati. Meanwhile, Adellia Nugraheni Puspa Sari is placed in the Multimedia division. Here, she is involved in creating visual content, graphic design, and managing the company’s social media. Adellia also helps in creating promotional materials and presentations used for internal and external purposes. “I am very happy to be able to develop my creativity here. I learned how to create interesting content that is in accordance with the company’s brand image. This is a very valuable experience for me,” said Adellia.
Benefits of Internships for Students
This internship program not only provides practical experience, but also helps students develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management. Both students admitted that they became more confident and ready to face the world of work after graduating. “Internship at Travira Air opened my eyes to what the real world of work is like. I learned to be more independent and responsible,” added Rismawati.
Adellia also emphasized the importance of collaboration within a team. “In the Multimedia division, I work with other creative teams. I learned that good collaboration and communication are the keys to producing quality work,” she said.

UNSURYA Information Systems Study Program continues to support its students to take part in internship programs as part of the educational curriculum. Dr. Ir. Budi Santoso, M.T., as Head of the Information Systems Study Program, stated that internships are one way to ensure that students not only master the theory, but are also able to apply it in the world of work. “We are very proud of Rismawati and Adellia’s achievements. Their internship experience at Travira Air is proof that our students are ready to compete in the industry,” she said.
Hopes for the Future
After completing the internship program, Rismawati and Adellia hope to implement the knowledge and experience they gained at Travira Air for their future careers. Both also plan to continue developing themselves and pursuing certification in IT and Multimedia. “I hope this experience can be the first step for my career in IT,” said Rismawati. Adellia also added, “I want to continue developing my design and multimedia skills, and maybe one day I can build my own creative studio.”
With the internship experience they have undergone, Rismawati Anjani and Adellia Nugraheni Puspa Sari have proven that students of the Information Systems Study Program at Marsekal Suryadarma Air University have the competencies needed by the industry. This internship program is not only beneficial for students, but also becomes real evidence of good cooperation between the university and the industrial world.
