Faculty of Computer Science and Design at Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma Hosts Publication Assistance Workshop

The Faculty of Computer Science and Design at Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma successfully organized a Publication Assistance Workshop on Friday, March 15, 2024. This event aimed to enhance the academic capacity of lecturers and researchers in producing high-quality publications, including reference books and scientific articles. Held at the university’s main campus, the workshop reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to strengthening the research and scientific publication ecosystem within the higher education environment.

The first session was led by Primadi Chandra Sudanto, SE.MM., who delivered a comprehensive presentation on “How to Compile Reference Books and Textbooks”. The speaker provided practical guidance covering book structure planning, curriculum-based content development, and publication strategies aligned with academic standards. This material proved highly relevant for lecturers seeking to develop innovative learning resources and contribute to enriching scientific literature in computer science and design fields.

In the subsequent session, Dr. Ryan Firdiansyah presented “The Use of AI Technology in Searching for Literature Sources”. Participants were introduced to various artificial intelligence-based tools designed to optimize reference searches, citation analysis, and scientific source verification. This technology is expected to accelerate research cycles while improving publication quality through accurate, data-driven approaches that enhance efficiency and reliability in academic writing.

Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Design, Dr. Yohannes Dewanto, emphasized in his closing remarks that the workshop embodied the faculty’s tangible support for academic career development. “We anticipate participants will implement the acquired knowledge to create impactful publications, aligning with the university’s vision of producing excellent and innovative graduates,” he stated. The event was attended by dozens of lecturers and researchers from various study programs, concluding with an interactive Q&A session and the distribution of e-certificates to all participants.
