On 13 March 2024, a team from the Faculty of Computer Science and Design (FIKD) at Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (Unsurya), consisiting of the Dean, Dr. Ir. Yohannes Dewanto, M.T., the Head of the Information System/Information Management Program, Muryan Awaludin, S.Kom., M.Kom., along with their team, conducted an official visit to Gunadarma University at the F6 campus in Depok. This visit marked the first step toward establishing cooperation between the two institutions.
The purpose of the visit was to exchange information about the teaching systems and curricula implemented at bouth universities, as well as to observe and consult regarding the supercomputer owned by Gunadarma University. During the meeting, the team from Unsurya was welcomed by Dr. rer. nat. I Made Wiryana, S.Kom., S.Si., M.App.Sc., and his team as representatives of Gunadarma University.
The meeting focused largely on discussions about the supercomputer, including its maintenance, areas of implementation, steps required before acquiring or utilizing a supercomputer, and other technical aspects such as power consumption. In addition, discussions also touched on learning systems, challenges in meeting industry needs, and how to respond to the rapidly evolving job market in the era of industry 4.0. These discussions were considered valuable for the future improvement and development of FIKD.
During the visit, the team from Unsurya was also given the opportunity to directly observe the supercomputer at Gunadarma University, providing them with deeper insights into its management and benefits in the context of education and research.
This visit is expected to be a strong starting point for building a mutually beneficial partnership between Unsurya and Gunadarma University, particularly in the fields of education and research in computer science.
