On Monday, 5 February 2024, the Informatics Student Association (HIMI) held a social service meeting aimed at spreading awareness and strengthening the sense of togetherness within the community. The event took place at the Sapa Learning House Foundation in Cakung, East Jakarta, in preparation for the main social service activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday, 9-10 February 2024.
With the theme “Spread Compassion, Create Unity”, the event drew the attention of many students and local residents. HIMI participants were enthusiastic about making a positive contribution to the surrounding environment through a variety of social activities.
The meeting involved planning a range of activities designed to maximize the benefits for the community. These included outreach programs such as the distribution of educational activities for children-all carried out with spirit and enthusiasm.
“We believe that by spreading compassion, we can build strong unity within the community. Through this event, we hope to create a lasting positive impact on our surroundings”, said the HIMI Chairperson in their opening remarks.
The event also served as a valuable moment for students to share knowledge and experiences, while also strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among them. The spirit of cooperation and social care demonstrated by the participants was an inspiration to everyone present.
With active participants from HIMI members and strong support from the local community, the social service meeting successfully fostered a warm and inspiring sense of togetherness.
