RT01/06 Ratujaya Receives Education in Arts and Culture

RADARDEPOK.COM – A number of lecturers and students from Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (Unsurya) carried out a Community Service Program (PKM) in the Chil-Friendly Neighborhood of RT01/06, Ratujaya Subdistrict, Cipayung District.

The PKM Coordinator from Unsurya, Peniarsih, stated that PKM is a mandotary activity for lecturers and students every semester and is one of the pillars of the “Tri Dharma” of higher education.

“We, the team of lecturers from Unsuryadarma, are carrying out community service. This time, it takes place in the child-friendly neighborhood of RT01/06, Ratujaya Subdistrict”, she told Radar Depok on Saturday (02/05).

Peniarsih explained that the activity involved training for children aged six and under, focusing on arts and culture from various regions across the archipelago.

“For example, we applied arts culture activities so that the children could get to know the cultural arts from different areas”, she said.

She describe the children’s enthusiasm as very positive, as evidenced by the attendance of 30 children at the event.

“Our team consisted of five lecturers and five students”, Peniarsih added.

Previously, according to Peniarsih, the team had conducted and identified issues related to arts and cultural education as well the lack of facilities and infrastructure.

“So we chose the location ourselves, and we conducted an analysis beforehand”, she concluded. (rd/ger)
