Preparing for Early Childhood Education, Unsurya Holds Early Childhood Learning Training During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (Unsurya), June 6, 2020 – Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Unsurya continues to carry out its Community Service activities by organizing seminars and workshops, both in-person and online, while strictly following health protocols. One such event is scheduled to take place on June 20 and 27, 2020, at Posyandu Gandaria, Ratu Jaya, Cipayung, East Jakarta. This event, titled “Early Childhood Learning Training During the Covid-19 Pandemic,” is initiated by the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) and coordinated directly by the Head of the Information Systems Study Program, Ir. Peniarsih, MMSi.

The training targets parents of pre-school-aged children, early childhood education (PAUD) teachers, and the general public. It will feature two speakers from the field of Information Systems: Mr. Muryan Awaludin, S.Kom., M.Kom. and Mrs. Ermawati, S.Kom., MMSi., with support from fellow lecturers from the Faculty of Industrial Technology. The training is designed to integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with family education principles, specifically in educating young children. The goal is to offer fun and interactive alternatives for child-rearing that encourage curiosity and foster greater parental independence in educating children—especially important in times when formal education institutions are not fully accessible due to the pandemic.

Through this training, it is hoped that closer family bonds will be nurtured through the learning process, which parents can directly apply at home with their children.
