HMTE General Meeting

This morning, the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma held its first deliberation as part of the HMTE-UNSURYA Grand Assembly, which is being held over two days, from July 26-27. 2019.

The event was opened with a speech by Ms. Bekti Yulianti, S.T., as the Head of the Electrical Engineering Study Program. She emphasized the need for student involvement to improve the program’s accreditation status, which will soon be reassessed (Re-accreditation), through active participation in competitions, research, and community service. In her speech, Ms. Bekti also highlighted the importance of equipping students with an understanding of workplace culture post-graduation. She explained that there will be many differences between the university environment and the professional world, requiring alumni of the Electrical Engineering Department at Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma to adapt and grow within the work environment they enter.

The Grand Assembly itself was aimed at discussing several key points related to the management of the Electrical Engineering Student Association, particularly in light of welcoming new members to the association in the upcoming odd semester starting this September. The main points discussed in the HMTE-UNSURYA Grand Assembly include:

  1. Providing knowledge about the Grand Assembly, especially for new students, considering that it is a regular annual agenda of the Electrical Engineering Student Association at the end of each leadership term.
  2. Serving as an evaluation for the previous board of the association.
  3. Serving as a platform for leadership regeneration for students wishing to carry forward the leadership of the Electrical Engineering Student Association.
  4. Acting as a coordination moment for the incoming board of the Electrical Engineering Student Association.
